Poisoned. Ignored. Abandoned.

On February 3, 2023, a train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio. It was carrying hazard materials including vinyl chloride, benzene residue, and butyl acrylate. Several railcars burned for more than two days, releasing hydrogen chloride and phosgene into the air. The emergency response was delayed and the people of East Palestine continue to experience health complications.
